篇1:Stress and Relaxation(压力与松弛)

Stress and Relaxation(压力与松弛)

Stress and Relaxation

As the pace of life continues to increase, we are fast losing the art of relaxation.Once you are in the habit of rushing through life, being on the go from morning till night,it is hard to slow down. But

relaxation is essential for a healthy mind and body.

Stress is a natural part of everyday life and there is no way to avoid it. In fact, it is not the bad thing as it is often supposed to be. A certain amount of stress is vital to provide motivation and give purpose to life. It is only when the stress gets out of control can it lead to poor performance and iii

health.

The amount of stress a person can withstand depends very much on the individual. Some people are not afraid of stress, and such characters are obviously prime material for managerial responsibilities. Others lose heart at the first signs of unusual difficulties. When exposed to stress, in whatever form, we react both chemically and physically. In fact, we make a choice between “flight or fight”and in more primitive days the choices made the difference between life or death. The crises we meet today are unlikely to be so extreme, but however little the stress, it involves the same response. It is when such a reaction lasts long, through continued exposure to stress, that health becomes endangered. Such serious conditions as high blood pressure and heart diseases have established links with stress. Since we cannot remove stress from our lives (it would be unwise to do so even if we could), we need to find ways to deal with it.

(Stress)

压力(stress)

as the keen competition becomes more common in our society, nowadays people are facing more work-related stress. those never finished work put us into a situation in which we have a race against time. the problem is that the task must be done at the moment has nothing to do with our ultimate aim, but a lot are still waiting for us to deal with. so when the deadline comes, stress affects us physically and psychologically.

in my oppion, two things cause stress, tiredness and time. you can imagine when a pile of work is laid out before your exhausted body, you must feel some changes in yourself, such as increased breathing rate, blood pressure level, headache and oppressed.

on the other hand, time is another key factor. because time is always limited, people try to do more within less time. at times, boosted by hopes, people spend untold time on work, but it takes forever to finish, then stress remains as a part of people's life.

as time slips by, hopes dim, stress raises. and some steps must be taken to solve the problem.

many people are caught up in the cycle of stress but they do not realize it. so the most important step is being aware of potential stresses and avoiding them. then make a list to organize your work in a better way so that you can keep a balance between work and rest, in this situation, stress is not allowed to build up at all.

How to Deal with Stress

How to Deal with Stress

Stress is a state of being upset that happens when we are under pressure. Both our feelings and our bodies get upset.

We can even get emotionally and physically sick if we have too much stress for too long. Stress can come at us from every direction. For instance, it can come from fights with other people. It can come when we have too many things to do and too little time to do them. It can also come when we do not have enough money to pay for what we want. Since stress can make us sick, we have to learn how to deal with it. There are good ways and bad ways to do so. We should deal with stress in good ways, of course. Good ways to cut down on stress include changing our lifestyles. For example, we can learn either to get along with people or to stay away from them. We can decide what to do now, what to do later, and what to leave off doing forever.

We can also figure out how to get money or we can cut down on what we want. We should not deal with stress in bad ways because bad ways to cut down on stress just lead to more troubles, for example, skipping out and leaving our work undone, blaming our problems on someone else, stealing or cheating.

篇6:Daily Stress(每天的压力)

Daily Stress(每天的压力)

Daily Stress

Temporarily, stress can sharpen your eyesight, give you more acute hearing and make your body produce more of the white blood cells which destroy invading bacteria and viruses.

Problems arise when you experience a number of big changes or events and become overstressed. About 10 percent of us have low stress tolerance, so the beginning of stress can happen rather quickly. Prolonged overstress can make you ill.

Are You Overstressed?

If you are showing physical symptoms of overstress, it's time to take action,

Don' t rely on quick pick-me-ups like caffeine and alcohol. These may make you feel better temporarily but won't get to the root of the problem.

Do give yourself a break. Every morning make a list of the things you would like to get done during the day, then cut off the bottom half of the list. You'll get those things done tomorrow, next week or even next month. Feel relaxed about organizing yourself.

Don't choose this time to make a big change to your living environment. Postpone shifting house or renovating until you' re feeling better.

Do keep your blood sugar steady by eating small, frequent meals instead of a few large ones. Eat complex carbohydrates like cereals, rice, bread and potatoes. These are broken down slowly by the body, releasing sugar over a long period of time.

Don't say yes to every request for your time and energy.Learn to say no when it's necessary.

Don' t postpone exercising.

Even if it's just moving around your living room to music that you love, getting your body active will help the healing process.
