Learn to Live

——my thoughts after reading Joan of Arc

Sunshine shines over the statue in Orleans. The ordinary but famous girl named Joan is riding on her horse, smiling and looking down at the land that she has loved and fought on. She is the heroine of France, the saint from heaven. Her influences shine over every person’s heart, and I am deeply impressed by her story.

When Louis XIII was the king, the British and the Burundians invaded France and wanted to have the northern part of France. Joan helped French people coronate their new king, Louis XIV, getting almost all the invaded land back with the help of three saints. But after that, she was caught by the Burundians and was burnt on a cross by her enemy. This is the famous story about Joan, the saint. From a village girl to a national heroine, she only used a few years. How could Joan of Arc do that? I wonder.

Someone says the saints have chosen her and the God has given her power. But actually the real virgin doesn’t exist, From the birth of Jesus Christ in the first century, people have controlled the Christianity. I think the religion has become a tool between people. This kind of opinion about the success of Joan must be wrong.

Someone said, Joan had this wonderful success because of her confidence and will. I quite agree with this opinion. Because there aren’t any virgins in the world, so I think the appearance of the saints was only in Joan’s mind, actually nothing special happened to Joan. I think the things which really mattered were Joan’s thoughts. In my opinion, Joan must have some military ability to lead the whole army, because of her unusual image, Joan became more confident to the success. It let Joan had the will to be successful. So the success before did not happen by accident,. After some battles, Joan said that she had lost her support from the saints, but actually this didn’t mind. The more important thing was that she had lost her confidence and will, so she lost the battle at last.

So I think confidence and will are just like the foundation of success. All the success depends on them.

In the real world, confidence and will is always very important. During the XX Athens Olympic Games, Li Ting and Sun Tiantian have won the gold medal for the women’s double in the tennis game. It was the first time our anthem playing on the tennis court. Some medium says that they have won by chance. It was only a fairy tale. But I don’t think so. Actually they have won because of their believing in themselves, because they have confidence and will, so they have created a fairy tale in Greece. Their confidence and will have made the success, not by accident.

In our daily life, we must have confidence and will as well. Before the test we need to be confident to our actual strength or we’ll not give full play to our initiative. We need to be confident when we are speaking in public or others will not remember you among all the speakers. We need to have will in studying or we’ll not learn things solidly. We need to have will in our daily life or we’ll give up the things we are doing now. If we have confidence and will in our daily life, then I believe you’ll live brighter.

In this story, I also have some other opinions about some other scenes. For instance, I don’t like the way the saints treated Joan when Joan forgot the birthday of Virgin Mary. I think they have to give some time for her to explain herself. I like the way that Joan proved herself bravely as a female. I think the most important thing is not the differences in ***, but your views to this really matter.

So learn from this story, learn Joan’s braveness and her pureness, and learn to believe yourself, and get rid of all the bad habits and personalities of the characters in this story. We can avoid to be a coward, to be selfish and fatuous. Then every good personality we learn will be a blooming flower in our garden of heart and we’ll live with a life full of fragrantce!

Joan of Arc

It is an epic that deconstructs human nature. The war is ugly, because of the ugliness of human nature, and the idealistic little girl witnessed the ugly scene of human nature at a young age, so she planted the hatred in the eyes of the imaginative little girl, relied on spirit and luck. Orlean, but the smooth voyage was finally short, and the girl was killed at last, and the people who used to use her thought she had no value. They would not be able to pay any more. They took advantage of what they wanted, and what they wanted.

The content of the film picked up a sword in the field from the time of Jane's childhood in the field. The process of the middle was not too much to describe. The nuns killed Joan of the first question: where is God? Where is God when his children need him? It is this kind of inquiry that can not find an outlet. In the end, Joan of arc chooses the inner self talk, that is, to be his own God. But the belief that has been lingering from small to large has been lingering. You can not be your own God. You are a God's people. So the fierce battle of heart has been torturing Joan of virtue from the day of the war, and has been torturing me for a long time that believes that faith or belief has long been missing.

Say Mira's virtue. When he was a child, he loved to run a church and confess. At the end of a confession, he went home and met with miracles. Then he accidentally encountered the British soldiers invading his own eyes and watched his elder sister die in front of himself. After that, he was sent to someone's house to live in. Since then, Joan's heart has already had a strong vengeance seed. She later went to see the prince of France and told him that he was the real emperor, and then asked for war and won. Everything was claimed to be from God's instructions. Now, in fact, Joan has personality split and self deception. It was like she was captured at last and then in the cell with the so-called Satan. Even Joan of arc did not know whether he was an angel or a devil himself. In her heart, she had a deep resentment of seeds, which led her to be afraid of death on the battlefield to kill the British army. But after the war, she tried to prevent officers from killing prisoners of war. Her confession may, in a certain sense, know that he is a Satan, so he wants to get the redemption of the soul through confession, like at the end of her own request for fire. But to save her own soul.

Before JAD saw the prince of France, the film showed the original side of Joan of Joan, but she also joined her gradually paranoid and self suppressing factors; this part of the film became so much larger in the later period of the film that many dialogues were carried out in her brain. Seeing here, I think of a word - schizophrenia; perhaps this is a bit heavy, but Joan does not balance the two self - the balance of the heart loses its balance. Directing Luke Besson to “sanctify” the Saint Joan of Joan of Joan, and to try to find out what is the reason for such an illiterate, strategic peasant woman to lead the French army to victory in the war.

I don't know. I still can't get any conclusion when I see the ending. Or from the beginning the conclusion has already been given. Between reality and illusion, we lose ourselves. On the one hand, it affirms it. On the one hand, it negates it. We always live in this paradoxical way. And the virtue of Joan of arc lies in the extremity of her direction, which is terrible. It's extremely frightening. This kind of power has also been biting the Joan of madness for a long time. In the end, let Joan return to our original heart. Can we do this in the face of the world? Can you lose yourself? Can you find yourself in the world of illusions? What is the self?

This is the image of a heroine. She never went to school, but she was worried about the country and the people. She wanted to drive out the British invaders out of France and save the suffering French people. She was not afraid of the power, she was not afraid of the church, and said the church and the noblemen ignored the sufferings of the people. She fought bravely, even when the French king gave up Paris reinvaders. She still believed that Paris would return to the French layout with the army. She was indomitable and never compromised. Even in prison, her eyes were still unyielding.

Austins “pride and prejudice”, as she puts it, is thin on two inches ofivory carving, it is the masterpiece of Austin。 Reflect the marriage problems ofnovel is a, the author works in the most is her favorite works。

Works of vivid reflects the late 18th century to the early 19th century ina conservative and occlusion of the British town life and the world。 Its socialgraffiti like novels not only attract the readers at that time, solid to today, still give the reader a unique artistic enjoyment。 She was the first torealistically portray ordinary grace novelist in daily ordinary life, plays anessential role in English novel。

The whole works, not least no winding ups and downs of the plot, but it isthis simple, delicate and attracted us deeply。 Austin, short life is spent inthe country, almost all around may be simple, halcyon atmosphere nurtured hercool temperament。 Not because there is no abundant experience, for the analysisof things for her ability to doubt。

People read the book pride and prejudice “will be fine for her, keenemotion。 When writing ”pride and prejudice", she is just a teenage girl, isntthis a gift? She does very little contact with the outside world, but thought, imagination, the existence of all this is enough。

Pride and Prejudice is my favorite novel, which impresses me for a longtime。 It describes a love story mainly between Elisabeth, who I like the best, and a rich and proud man, Darcy。

The story began with the arrival of a crowd of rich men who rent a housenear the Bennet。 In a ball, Elisabeth gave such a bad impression on Darcy’sfirst pride that she refused Darcy’s first proposal。 Darcy was so surprised byElisabeth’s refusal that he loved Elisabeth more deeply。 And Elisabeth’santipathy made Darcy realize his shortings。 He was not angry about Elisabeth’scensure, but also he changed his previous proud attitude。 During Elisabeth’stravel in Darcy’s manor。 Darcy was very nice to her uncle and aunt, differentfrom previous proud attitude。 When one of Elisabeth’s sisters ran away withWickham, Darcy helped Elisabeth find her sister and prevent her sister from theloss of reputation, with nobody knowing that it was he who helped the Bennet。 Somany changes in Darcy eliminated Elisabeth’s prejudice。 At last it end withtheir marriage。

Taking the daily life as its material, this story reflected the life andlove in a conservative and blocking England town。 It reflected the author’s viewabout marriage that it is fault to marry for property, money and status and itis also foolish to take these elements into account。 In fact Darcy’s pridemanifested the gap between their statuses。 Since his pride existed, there is noideal marriage between Elisabeth and Darcy。 From the different attitudes fromDarcy’s two proposals, it reflected the feminine pursuit of personalityindependence and right equality, which is a progressive character from the imageof Elisabeth。
