不管别人怎么看，我始终觉得志愿者是一个很光荣的身份。上了高中后，我终于有机会亲身体验了一次当志愿者的感受。那是一次大规模的马拉松比赛，作为一名普通志愿者，我被安排到了距离起点三十公里的位置。这里已是赛程的中后部分，却又远离终点，所以热情的媒体不会守候在此，陪跑五公里的当地人早就不见了踪影，甚至连观众也没多少。可以说，对这场轰轰烈烈、热热闹闹的比赛来说，这里是，一个冷清的角落。 虽然我们这些绿衣志愿者早在五点钟便到了岗，可除了少数环卫大叔与民警外，最多的还是一排排的树与浅碧色带着水珠的草地。这里是城郊相接的地方，不远处便是大片新垦的农田。一弯小河不知从哪里发源，轻巧地流淌过去。这里没有玻璃筑的高楼，也没有红砖筑的平房，什么都没有，却又似乎什么都有。这个地方的妩媚，在这个城市不为人知。
坐在搭有一个巨大喜鹊巢的树下，看完了一整本小说，又陆续捉了蓝蓝绿绿的几只纤细轻盘的豆娘，一百米外的志愿者像喊山歌接力般地告诉我，比赛开始了。
在青青的草坪上打了个滚，起身整理好胸牌，再扶正帽子，我们这些树底下东倒西歪的“翠色护栏”迅速修复还原。
这一等就是两个小时，当等待已让人心焦的时候，一马当先的选手们终于到了。几辆警车与救护车驶过，随后是媒体全程录像的工作车辆。车队中间是十几个正在全速奔跑的非洲选手。他们啪嗒啪嗒地跑过去，汗水在身后洒了一地，义：被逐渐升高的日头一下子蒸干。 这些第一集团选手的速度太快了，他们匆匆地一掠而过，仿佛风的剪影，又如同黑色的闪电。几名中国选手稍稍落后，但也尽可能地咬住前面的选手。随着时间的推移，所有参赛的职业选手都陆陆续续地经过了我们身边。而这时，让我震撼的场面才刚刚开始。 当那些矫健的职业选手经过很久之后，远处跑来的是那些非职业但还是坚持跑下来的人们。 这队伍里有大爷大妈，已是满头银发;也有大学生举着校旗，更多的是普通的职员。我不清楚他们每个人是做什么的，而这似乎也无关紧要。三十公里的长路，渐渐融化了他们的职业与身份，人性如剥了壳的`虾子，显出里面粉嫩绵软的善意。
我忍不住为他们——这些无名的非职业选手加油。我决心为每个坚持到这里的普通市民加油，从第一个到最后一个，每人献上一句。不管名次如何，他们都在这漫长的征途中超越了自己，同样值得我敬佩。 原以为他们已疲惫不堪，没想到他们的回应竟是那样热情。
当我向那彪形大汉摆出可爱的小兔子的造型时，那大汉也依样画葫芦，笨拙地朝我装可爱;那满头大汗的年轻选手脱掉了上衣，将整瓶水倒在头上、背上，却依旧不愿乱扔杂物，而是边跑边找垃圾箱;我喊“坚持——”，他们会心地接上“就是胜利”，我喊“加油——”，他们诙谐地接上“为美女加油”;我向他们微笑，他们微笑着调侃说这是“天津新形象”。有些政治书一般的话，此刻说出口来却朴实自然、亲切可爱…… 和每一个跑过身边的普通市民击掌相庆，有一种很美好的感情在心中慢慢涌动，就如同这青绿色的郊外，带些酸甜的橘子味，但弥散出的鹅黄边缘，却都显出暖意。
人在专注于一件事到极致时，会很容易忘记那个在社会上、在众人面前的自己。这时的人很脆弱，他完全忘记了什么社交礼仪，什么人际关系;但这时的交往也很真诚，彼此的投人、心血、眼泪都是那样朴实而温暖。这样的事情不止发生在那些成就斐然的科学家们身上，同样也正发生在我眼前这些跑在马拉松赛道上的普通市民身上。汗水的流淌让人性蒸腾尽了水分，让他们性格中的宝贵升华成伟大。这让我肃然起敬， 当最后一个选手跑过后，正午的阳光正肆意地泼洒下来。我站在路边望着他们，慢慢摘下帽子，对着他们的背影，鞠了一躬。
