常常有人问我:Jamie,你都怎么评估一个 idea 可不可行?
这个问题的答案很简单,我不评估一个 idea 可不可行,我只评估这个团队能不能把他们的 idea 做出来,很多人以为创业的重点是「想」出好的 ideas,其实根本相反,创业的重点是永远都在「做」出一个更好的 idea — Facebook 已经有 8.5 亿使用者,人家还是两天一小改、叁天一大改。所以不能做出,不能持续改进东西的人,那去报名划船队比较快,别来创业了。
只要团队对了,你根本不需要评估 idea 可不可行。他们会把 idea 做出来,推向市场,然后由市场来告诉他们这个 idea 很烂 — 事实上,每个初创团队来提的 idea,我通通听过不下几十次了。但是没关S,当你把它做出来 (最好是一个花很少资源的 MVP),拿到市场e去,你就会开始得到各种真实的反馈。从那e,你会开始 Pivot,然后好的团队,就会慢慢把 idea/product 越改越好,越改越好,直到有一天变成我从来没听过的 idea,直到有一天找到Product-Market Fit,长出 Business Model,一步步迈向成功,
所以重点是团队,我们只看团队,也只投资团队。这也就是为什么 appWorks 育成计画是围绕在培育明日的创业家,而不是做出今天的好产品。科技会不断变化,市场也会不断变化,只有能够跟着不断进步的创业者,才能一直找到下一个突破,一直找到下一个成功。
