为了交流学习经验，提高学习效率，《中学生英语辅导报》举行了一次以How to be a good learner?为题的征文比赛活动，请写一篇80词左右的短文谈谈你的'看法。
英文日记主要由三个部分组成：日期天气、标题和正文，在写英文日记时，我们需要先在第一行靠左位置用英文写上年、月、日、星期和天气(如：Monday November 10,)，将天气情况写在右上角，再另起一行写上标题后，再写上正文即可。
在写英语日记时，日期和天气是必写的，至于日记的标题可写可不写，在进行日记正文的书写时，正文主题内容可以是本日生活的记录，也可以是某一件事的感悟。注意避免流水账样式的记录，尽量让记录下来的文字生动有趣。

一、英语日记格式
英文日记通常由书端和正文两个部分组成。日记常以第一人称记下当天生活中的所见、所闻、所做或所想的事情。中、英文的日记三格式大致一样。英语日记的书端是专门写日记的日期、星期和天气的。左上角是日期(年、月、日)、星期。右上角写上当天的天气情况，如：Sunny，Fine，Rainy，Windy，Snowy，Cloudy等。
1、日期表达有多种形式。年、月、日都写时，通常以月、日、年为顺序，月份可以缩写，日和年用逗号隔开。例如：
A)September 1，或September 1st，2004也可省略写成Sept. 1，2004或Sept. 1st，2004;the 1st of September in 2004(月份不可以缩写)

以上的1或1st都应读作the first.
2、星期也可以省略不写，可将其放在日期前或后，星期和日期之间不用标点，但要空一格，星期也可缩写。如：

3.天气情况必不可少。天气一般用一个形容词如：Sunny，Fine，Rainy，Snowy 等表示。写在日期之后，用逗号隔开，位于日记的右上角。如：

二、英语日记的要求

兴趣是最好的老师。教学方法新颖又富有启发性，可激发学生的学习兴趣，使学生感到有趣、有味、有奇、有惑。英语教学中，巧用情境教学法不失为一条锦囊妙计。创设情境的方法很多，结合我多年来的教学实践，从课堂教学和课外教学两方面着手，总结如下：
一、在课堂上创设情境
1.利用实物，巧设情境
教师通过实物演示情境能使学生边学习边体会所学知识，在实际生活中的应用，同时培养学生直接用英语思维的习惯。如：教学“There be”句型、人体部位、方位词、形容词的比较等级都可用事物来演示教材内容。再如，在讲授涉及问路的主题时，利用教室的课桌作为直观教具，有序排列，中间空出适当距离用做街道社区，然后让学生把课前自制的带有单位如school，hospital，toilet，the bus stop，the police station等的卡片放在课桌上，表示各建筑物所处的位置，形成某个建筑群的模拟情景，再让学生操练陌生人问路的对话。在这种现实的“浓缩版”中，学生就能直观地理解向左转与向右转，并且懂得中西方在交通规则差异等方面的文化内容。同时，学生的责任感、道德感与合作意识也得到了强化。
2.语言描述，引入情境
充分利用教材中的课文创设问题情境。教师可以向学生提出富有启发性的问题，制造悬念，创设问题情境，可以连珠炮式地提问，或者设置“突如其来的提问”，让学生就某个问题随便说说他们知道的东西。让学生说出他们能想到的情况，如果说不出来，教师可以提示。突如其来的提问可以使学习生动活泼，能引起学生临场发挥的冲动，获得成功感，增强学习的兴趣与信心。例如：在讲解dangerous和careful时，课前我先安排一个学生，讲授时，我指着教室里的一只灯管“There is some thing wrong with the light.It doesn’t work.Who can mend it”？这时那位同学站起来说：“Don’t worry.I can mend it.”说完，他就走过来并假装去触摸灯管，这时我显出一种极为紧张的表情并大声说：“Becareful！It’s dangerous！”我一边在黑板上用红色粉笔画出“触电”标志符号，一边大声重复：“Becareful！It’s dangerous！”这时再问同学们它们的含义，学生便能异口同声地说出来。
3.运用媒体教学手段，创设情境
在课堂上运用录像、投影、录音机为学生创设一种悦耳、悦目、悦心的英语交际情境，使学生在情境中有交流语言的真实感，这种方式寓教于乐，学生学起来不感到枯燥。例如，对于“What day is it today?”“What day was it yesterday?”的英语语法中过去式的讲授，传统教学步骤为教师朗读——学生跟读——提问造句——强化练习。这种教学方法固然有效，却略显单调与枯燥。那么，尝试改变这一教材呈现方式。英文歌曲“Yesterday once more”引出教学内容——学生听曲——学生跟唱——渗透与展开教学内容。当然，对于歌曲中歌词的内容与真正含义，并不是所有学生都能领会，但这并不会影响到他们对音乐的天然模仿。此时教师抓住这一契机展开对语法一般过去式的呈现。在活跃的气氛中，学生对于语法一般过去式的理解就在歌曲与问答中加深（am—was，like—liked），这就对进一步的深入学习语法一般过去式奠定了良好的基础。
T：When she was young，what did she like to do?
S：Listen to the radio.
T：Yes，when she was young，Sheliked to listen tothe radio.
What did you like to do when you were young?
S1：When 1 was young，I liked to swim.
S2：When 1 was young，I liked to sing.
4.角色扮演、游戏，体会情境
运用角色扮演，能激发学生兴趣，使学生在愉快的情趣中体会学习，提高课堂效率。在教学过程中就某一个内容创设一个情境，让学生在教师的'引导下从易到难、由浅入深地学习，最终学生不仅能牢固地掌握课本知识，还能根据教师所给的情境，从自己的水平出发，编出更切合生活实际的会话，在情境中学，在情境用。但是教师要注意所设置的情境要与所学内容、学生生活实际紧密联系而且自然。练习的方法也要灵活多样，体现出练习充分、广泛、有深度的特点。
如我在讲解finish doing sth时先让学生熟知它的句型结构，然后让学生分别担任不同角色进行会话表演：
Did you finish reading the book?
Yes I did.
I have finished cleaning our classroom.
I am playing basketball after I finish doing my homework.
再如在讲授有关国外生日聚会的内容时，我有意识地安排一次小型的生日聚会，调动学生把生活中的生日内容再现于课堂。
二、课外创设情境
实际生活水平是语言学习的试金石，英语的情境教学的时空必须由课内延伸到课外，把学习迁移拓展到我们的生活中。大力开展课外教学活动也是课堂教学内容的有效延伸，本人根据不同班级、不同层次、不同水平、不同爱好的同学，进行适当地组织，开展英语游戏、开演唱会、朗诵会、讲演比赛、识词默写比赛、作文比赛、听力比赛等，其目的是活跃学生课外生活，巩固课内学的知识，培养学生学英语的兴趣，使课内外结合，相得益彰。
不管怎样，在创设情境时应注意以下几点：
1.培养学生兴趣为前提，诱发学生主动性；
2.指导观察为基础，强化感受理解性；
3.以发展思维为中心，着眼培养学生创造性；
4.以陶冶情感为动因，渗透德育教育性；
5.以训练英语能力为手段，贯彻实践交际性。
总之，在初中英语教学中，情境教学不仅能使语言教材变成活生生的言语，富有生活气息；使学生产生仿佛置身于英语世界的感觉，增强运用英语的能力。
Elephants 大象
Elephant is the largest animal on land today. It weights some ninety kilograms and is about one metre high when born. When it is 12 years old, it studs over three meters and does not grow any more. Elephant is usually grey in color, having a long trunk with large ivory tusks protruding from each side of its mouth. How I Spent My Summer Vacation
Summer can be very hot in southern Taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32“C or more. Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.
Actually I like swimming think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has ended I went swimming many times with my classmates we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were a year away.

I always feel tired after eight classes a day, so my dream school starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. There are three lessons in the morning and two in the afternoon. We can choose our favorite lessons to learn.
We can spend more time doing some outside reading. The students do after-school activities for one and a half hours every day. We needn’t do a lot of homework. We are all happy to stay at school.
Besides that, my dream school looks like a big garden. There are many kinds of flowers around the modern buildings. Sweet perfumes are diffused all around. If I want to have a rest, I can lie on the grass, listen to music by the lake or look out at the flowers from the classroom windows.
