in my 18 years of life, there have been many things. university days arethe best part of them. i can never forget the days when i stepped into myuniversity. i was impressed by its garden-like campus, its enthusiastic studentsand especially its learning atmosphere. i at once fell in love with it.
after the arduous military training, i get absolutely absorbed in mystudies. the classes given by the teachers are excellent. they provide us withinformation not only from our textbooks but from many other sources as well.they easily arouse my insatiable desire to take in as much as i can.
frankly speaking, at first i had some difficulty following the teachers.however, through my own efforts and thanks to my teachers’ guidance, i maderemarkable progress. now i’ve benefited a lot from lectures and many otheracademic reports.
learning is a long process; i’ll keep exploring in the treasure house ofknowledge to enrich myself. this summer i got out of the ivory tower and enteredthe real world. a publishing house offered me a part-time job in compilation andrevision.
at the beginning i was belittled by my colleagues. but they were reallysurprised when i translated seven english articles over 5,000 words on only oneday. gradually, they began to look at me with respectful eyes. in their opinioni turned out to be a useful and trustworthy colleague.

People use plastic bags because they are convenient. When they get home, they throw the plastics way, paying no attention to the environment. Some of our products we use every day are made of rubber, just like the tyres and the bottom part of our shoes. It’s true that rubber plays an important role in our life. Yes， that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies， called Gorillasin the Mist， based on a true story of Mrs。 Diana Fossey， who spent most of herlifetime in Rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of herlife。
To me， the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts asa timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the costof our eco-environment。

Now every year， many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations arereceiving donations - big notes， small notes or even coins - from housewives，plumbers， ambulance drivers， salesmen， teachers， children and invalids。 Some ofthem cannot afford to send the money but they do。 These are the ones who drivethe cabs， who nurse in hospitals， who are suffering from ecological damage intheir neighborhood。 Why? Today, my speech is about talents,in my opionion, talents are indispensable in nowadays society. as is known to all that the fight among countries is actually the fight among talents.
First, i'd like to define the word“talent” in my idea, a talent is one person who is good at or expertised in some or multiple areas. nowadays, as the world developing goes on , if one country want to rank top or do a good job in the world, the country must have many talents.for example, china, the biggest developing country in the world, in the past 100 years, is always invaded by other countries, why ,the reason is that china at that time had not so many talents. if they had anti-intrusion leader talents in the war, needless to say,they would have beat those big powers.if they had talents in weapons manufacturing, nodody dares to provoke us.however, nowadays, it's a totally different situation, china has become powerfulin all over the world, why ? because there are many talents serving the country, the civilians become more and more literated.more and more people go to university,more and more people come to receive further education. so what is that in return,talents in army protect our country from invasion, talents in commerce help make our economy keep in improving, talents in aerospace make the world see chinese manned spacecraft flying. talents in sports make china rank the first in the olympic games……
