it’s my great pleasure to stand here to present my speech—change the world, change ourselves.
it’s noticable that western holidays are becoming increasingly popular day by day, while chinese traditional festivals are being somewhat neglected. not long before about 10 doctors in beijing university and qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against our traditional festivals and culture.
frankly speaking, i don’t quite agree with them.indeed, we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as china boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions.
but why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture.
there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in china. on the one hand, some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as father’s day and april fool’s day etc. on the other hand,the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china. overwhelmed by such a trend,chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture.
with the further development of the whole world, the cultural communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important. we are indeed from different nations, but we are the citizens of the same world, so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the earth.the only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? the answer is definitely no. what we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture. only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture.
MY school
My school’s name is Bansanpasak. My director’s name is Mr .Pikad Kadtipan. He is 58 years old , a very nice kind and active working man.
Bansanpasak school is located in the NongKwai , Hangdong district, Chiangmai, Thailand since the year 1916.And now, it is 95 years old and very old as old as my grandfather’s age. North of my school is Kunse village and it is near my school .If you ask for directions to my school, you will be told that it is neat Sanpasak market.
South of my school is the market. It is next to my school just a minute’s walk.
East of my school is placed Bansanpak village.
The are 56 teachers working for my school,8 male teachers and 48 female teachers .There are 850 students who are in the kindergarten and in the secondary school.
There are some labs in my school : mathematics lab, science lab, computer room and English sound lab.
The special activities groups are Artist, Dancing, English , and Music .It is done in the last period of Tuesday.
And we also have a big library, which is necessary for the classes. It is quite a good room, clean , tidy and with lots of
interesting books for reading.
We learn 8 subjects in our school: Thai, mathematics, science, history, social, art , health and English. The daily program of the school is:
School begins at 8:15 a.m. All the students are in groups doing national activities ,and the students also learn spelling before going back to the classes.
The first class starts by 9:00 a.m. There are subjects in the morning from 9 to 12and then we stop for lunch for one hour. We have more classes from 1 p.m. and finish them at 4 p.m. The students go back home from school at around 4:30 everyday. My school is lucky to have many experienced teachers. They are excellent teachers who make us excellent. We feel warm and happy when we are in school because of teachers’ goodness and patience. So the students are willing to go to school everyday. And I love my teachers very much too. I want to become a good person and do the right things as my teachers want.
My school stands on an small area of land though, there are 4 big buildings used for the students’ classrooms. Three of them are made of concrete and one another ,the oldest one is made of wood.
I would like to tell you about each of them. The first two
buildings which have three floors with 9 big rooms .One is for students of grade 4,5and 6 ,and the other is for grade seven to nine. The third building which has two floors contains 6 classes for the students grade two to three. And this building is the oldest one in my school.
The fourth building only have two floors too, which is smaller than the others.
There is a big Buddha put in front of the school for us to respect when we arrive at school.
I’ve just remembered the kindergarten is at the back of school. It is next to the canteen and the farm.
Our school can provide students with clean drinking water. There are many green trees around school to make it a better place for studying.
The students in my school study very hard. Every year ,some of them can win the competitions ,and our parents are proud of us.
At last, I want to say :I feel really happy studying in this school . It is the first school I attended .I have never been to any other schools before and I don’t know how different they are, but I am very proud to be a student here and when I have my own children in the future ,I will take them to this school too.
How to Cope With Stress in College

Today, my topic is how to cope with stress in college.
College life can be very stressful. Although stress is a normal sense for everyone, it’s difficult to make a balance between the two extremes. First of all, we should figure out the sources of stress. The competition for grades, the need to perform, interpersonal relationship, career choice and many other aspects of the college environment cause stress. These factors are connected with our family, peers and society. Almost every student has to face stress of exams, as for us, we must consider some tests about our major, for instance, CET-6 and TEM-8. And the majority of us should accept the stress from family. Our parents all hope that we can get a good job after graduation, they keeping reminding us of the significance of the future job no matter how hard we work in college. We also have stress from peers who try their very best to study, hence we must keeping moving in order not to lag behind them.
But before condemning stress outright, we need to understand that stress is only harmful when it is excessive. Some of the stress that we all experience is helpful and stimulating. The challenges of life tend to be
stressful and an attempt to avoid stress completely would lead to a rather boring existence. After realizing the causes of stress, we can manage them by means of balancing the two extremes. Maybe we can communicate with our parents and seek understanding and support from them. Besides, we can take part in outdoor activities. If necessary, we can put ourselves in nature temporarily and then we can forget something stressful.
Proper stress is the power of making progress,developing a balanced lifestyle,gaining ideas by discussing problems with other students or teachers,building a sense of life meaning and making stress stepping-stone in the way of success can help you relieve your stress in college.

xxxx年秋天的一个早晨，天空下着细细的小雨，我们刚分配到赤小的新老师来到了这里。这是我第一次来到赤光。由于是来工作，心里面除了兴奋外，多少有些忐忑不安，不知道我能否胜任工作。
袁伟东校长接见了我们，要我们一一作介绍，并要我们在档案里填写好基本信息，其中有一项是写个人特长，我当时觉得自己真是一无是处啊，绘画一窍不通，书法一知半解，音乐又是个门外汉，真是惭愧极了。为了装饰门面，我勉强填了个“写作”，写完之后自己就脸红了，心里明白写作只能算是一个爱好而已，却远远谈不上是什么特长，同时也暗下决心，一定让自己学有所长。带着满腔的激情与梦想，我走进赤小，开始了当一名老师的生涯。
初为人师，除了满腔的热血让自己有点幻想外，我处处受到挫折打击。执教一年级的语文兼班主任，每天的日子都不好过，因为每天都有新情况新问题出现等着自己去解决。闹钟一到七点半就必须去班里查看学生了。即使刚到学校的学生，也会制造出十几个问题等着我去解决。每天的工作就是上课，解决纠纷，下课，管理学生。一天到晚都是围着学生转，直到放学了绷紧的神经才敢放松一点。有时候感觉早上睡醒之后就是一个恶梦的开始，我会担心完不成学校任务，担心学生又出现什么问题，担心家长来找麻烦……但是担心这么多又有什么用呢？意外还是发生了。
记得那一天，我班的两个男孩子因为好玩，玩的时候不小心摔在一起，其中一个男孩子的胳膊伤成骨折。家长找到我要讨个说法。我心里最先蹦出来的念头就是：怎么办？怎么办？完了，完了，这下完了！虽然这件事情发生在课间活动时间，小孩子是自己不小心摔倒，但是，作为班主任，应当有责任有义务去确保每一位学生的安全，而我没有做到，我觉得失职了。我的心里十分惶恐，不知所措，更不懂得怎样去解决这么棘手的问题，化解两家的矛盾。我惴惴不安地向学校汇报了这件事情，等着学校领导的问责。可令我惊讶不已的是，学校领导并没有对我说一句批评的话，当时做主任的袁双明老师全程负起这件事情，并且最终圆满地解决了两家的纠纷。从始至终我没有因这件事情受到一点影响。所以，我十分感激学校对我的保护，没有让我独自去承受这一切，去面对难缠的家长，去面对复杂的纠纷。
在赤小工作的日子里，我遇到过很多大大小小的问题与麻烦。我一开始不懂得如何教好一年级。学生也并不怎么听话。我所教的班级总感觉乱糟糟的，我就特别羡慕隔壁班的老师，为什么她可以让她班的学生这么听话，懂事，而我却不行？有那么一段时间，学生真是特别地不听话，我在讲课，班里的学生却自己做自己的事，把我当空气一样透明，看到这种场面，我真是气愤极了，一个人两个人不听我的话也就罢了，怎么可以一个班的人都不听我讲呢？当时我自己的情绪就失控了，火山爆发似的猛敲桌子，高分贝的骂他们：你们怎么这么不听话？老师在这里拼命讲，而你们却在干什么啊？……骂了很久很久。骂过之后，我的'心里却没有一点成就感，骂了他们，反而更难受，更失落。当时同是教一年级的王灵翠老师见我就教孩子一筹莫展，就亲自示范上课，又手把手地指导我如何上好课。渐渐地，我慢慢地摸索出教学的规律。站在讲台上也自信了很多，不再惊慌失措，更不会情绪失控。我能如此快的在教学上成长起来，与王老师的悉心指导是分不开的。
经过时间的沉淀，经验的积累，在教育教学工作上，我慢慢变得成熟，工作不再是一种负担，有时更像是一种享受。上班不再战战兢兢，处理问题也不再是焦头烂额。心里头多了一份踏实与淡定，多了一份从容与自信。我知道，自己自信成熟的背后固然和自己的辛勤付出有关，但更重要的是因为学校对老师的包容与理解，支持与信任，才使得我这个初入职场的菜鸟蜕变成一个真正的人民教师。感恩赤小，感谢每一位同事。因为有你们，在我工作遇到困难的时候，给予我无私的帮助；在我生活遇到坎坷的时候，给予我同情与安慰。这份可贵的友谊，让我以后不管遇到什么困难，都有勇气面对，因为有你们，我的生活才更精彩。

My school is very big and beautiful.
There are seven lofty buildings in our school and there are a lot of classrooms in it. There are some nice flowers in my school. There is a new playground in our school. We students exercise in the playground every day. Our school library is at the back of our school. We can do some reading there after class. It’s a nice place to study.
