My last holidays were my longest holidays, and i think that i learnt how to spend the time. I enjoyed a lot with my friends, and my family, and i met new people too, because i was in different places during the summer, and i wanted to meet people everywhere. The first place i visited was calpe, a town in alicante, because i was invited for some days by a friend who has a house there. I went with some friends, and we spent there just five days, but it was enough time to want to come back next summer! We stayed on the beach for hours, in the mornings, just lying and asleep, taking enough energy for the rest of the day and for the night! At night, we went out until next morning. We danced, met people, walked near the beach... while we watched the moon in silence. Next, i went to paris with my parents and my sister. Actually, i did not go to paris, i went to disneyland. We stayed there for four days, and it was really unforgettable. When i saw the park, i opened my eyes the most i could and i did not close them until the night at the hotel. I felt like a little girl again. Finally, i was in salou. My parents looked for a really relaxing time, and we were on the beach for some days. There, we did not visit anything, we were there just to rest. After those days, we came , and, unfortunately, we had to start our routines again.

My name is Jie Lidi. Today, my topic is: “Confidence”. As we all know, failure is the mother of success. But What I want to say is that success is the child of confidence. Without confidence, things can becom#e negative and uncom#fortable. I remember, during an English class, I wanted to make a sentence using the word “listen”.
I should have said: “I listen to the Voice of America” but I was too nervous and said “I listen to the Noise of America”. Everybody in the class laughed. Since then I wanted to train myself to be confident.

通过教学，我发现大部分孩子对英语很不重视。（包括与个别家长的交流中，发现有些家长也未重视）相当一部分的孩子英语基础打得很不牢，个别的孩子甚至拼读、书写、背诵等学习英语的好习惯还没有很好的养成，需要从头开始。
首先，简介一下第九册教材及教学要求：
本册是供小学五年级上学期使用。全书分11个模块，包括一个复习模块。每个模块分两个单元。第一单元呈现本模块所学的语言内容，第二单元提供若干任务型练习，包括一首歌谣或小诗。这一册的重点是了解英国的公园、商店、学校和节日等。同时，比较系统的学习英语语句的重音。并有一些重点句子的学习与运用。并掌握一些重点单词。要求能听懂会说并认读每课的重点句子及重点单词。也就是布置要求抄写的内容。要求能正确的书写，能听懂会说重点内容，能认读看懂课文内容，最好能熟读和背诵课文。请家长对照要求孩子。
第二，说说孩子学习英语时普遍遇到的困难：
1、缺乏足够的语言环境：课时少（每周2节，本期开始五、六年级每周有三节），平常接触少，运用少；
2、教材难度大，内容多，要求也上了几个台阶。

4、学生缺乏学习的自觉性。许多的学生不自觉的完成作业，而我们英语老师任教的班太多，三个年级，六个班，学生太多（300个左右），工作量大，而学生两级分化明显，对于众多底子薄弱的并缺乏学习自觉性的学生，无论从时间上还是精力上说，我都感觉力不从心。所以，英语相对于语文、数学要难得多。这也就是有些学生语数都好惟独英语不好的原因。
但我坚信：如果您的孩子在您的支持配合和老师的指导下能够认真地上好每堂课，并及时完成每天的学习任务，那么一定能有很大的进步。要教导您的孩子一开始就要有吃苦耐劳的精神。坚持严谨的学习作风，成绩马上就会见效。
第三，就英语学习提出以下要求：
1、我要求学生每天认真听读磁带半小时，要看书读，边听、边看、边指，边读，不仅要能听懂会说，而且一定要能认读。并要求熟读课文和背诵课文。请家长监督并签字。每周进行检查。但目前为止，仍有部分学生没有听读签字或少签。面对六个班，我根本无法做到天天找他们，惟有请家长督促，一定要坚持完成。
2、除听读作业还有布置书写的家庭作业，每节课都会布置，作业的内容就是本模块的学习重点和难点，也就是要求学生掌握的内容。每周进行检查，请家长督促孩子，每周有几节英语课，就有几次书写作业。
3、每上完一个模块，会在课堂上做练习，并就本模块的重点内容进行一个小测验，家长可随时了解其学习的情况。有关作业的完成情况以及单元测验的情况将随时通过家校通短信平台通知家长。
4、以前底子没打好，或因转学等原因以前没有学过，教材不同等的学生，家长必须想办法给他们补起来。请家庭教师、报学习班都行，千万不能让他们掉队。事实上，一对一的补习是非常有效的，同时也能快速的提高学生的学习兴趣与自信心。

In the first 50 years of the 20th century, the Chinese people made unflagging efforts to change the tragic fate that had been theirs ever since the Opium War. After arduous and valiant struggle, they finally ended their semi-colonial and semi-feudal history, won independence for the nation and freedom for the people, and founded the People's Republic of China under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
In the latter half of the 20th century, relying on their own efforts, the Chinese people went all out to make their country strong, and began socialist construction. On the poor and deprived foundation of old China, they built a relatively complete industrial structure and national economic framework, raising the levels of their cultural and material lives significantly. China started marching forward steadily toward prosperity.
