1、避免谈求职目的。

2、删掉所有不相干的工作经历。

3、省略个人信息。
婚姻状况、宗教信仰或是社保号，这些都可以省略。
可能过去还有公司会看重相关的信息，但现在美国公司问求职者这些问题是违法的，所以简历也不需要写。
4、不要列举个人爱好。
理由很简单，如果和应聘的工作没关系，那都没人在乎。写这类内容占用了简历的空间，更浪费了招聘公司人事经理的时间。
5、不必透露有关个人年纪的信息。
如果不希望在竞争某个职位时遭遇年龄歧视(当然这里是说“潜规则”)，最好连毕业的具体日期都不要写。
对美国人来说，有一个设置文档格式的习惯可能泄露真实年龄：用两倍行距。那意味着执笔者50多岁了。
6、不要附带证明人。

9、不要在手机号码前面再特别注明是“手机号”。

10、不要提供现在工作用的联系电话。

14、不必列出大学的成绩分数。
如果早都毕业了，大学的成绩和你就毫无关系。如果刚毕业，美国大学GPA分数至少有3.8，那倒可以写进简历。
如果毕业三年以上，或者GPA低于3.8，那就别提了。
15、不要附上个人相片。
以后可能是常规做法，可现在还不是。而且这么做会分散人事经理的注意力，或者显得俗气。
