What makes this story great? I must say that this is one of the most realistic movies I saw. Watching it is just like hearing an orphan telling about his hardships and struggles on the streets. The violence, the emotions, the realms of a third world country, and the beauty of love regardless of any situation was nicely presented on the movie. It also showed the kind of life the slams of India has - the children, the women, and the heartless adults. The nicest thing that I like about the movie is the light after dark part. That something good is possible when you just don’t lose hope. The innocent look and the sad eyes of Dev Patel are perfect for Jamal’s character. Frieda Pinto is really pretty, just the perfect flower on the movie. The rest of the characters are well-suited. This movie’s characters must be the well selected Indian actors.

I'm a little annoyed with Up right now, because it made me cry in the first 10 minutes. Crying at the end of a movie is easier to hide -- you can mutter about allergies or how too much computer time makes your eyes red. But crying at the beginning of the movie makes you feel like an awfully sappy wuss. Thank goodness I had big ol' 3-D glasses on, which at least managed to hide any telltale traces of weakness ... until I cried again at the end, damn it.
Up is the latest film from Pixar, and this time the main character is not a robot or rat or monster, but rather a little old man who looks like Spencer Tracy and occasionally growls like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino. After his wife dies, Carl Fredericksen (Ed Asner) faces a lonely life ahead, possibly in a retirement community. He decides to have the adventure that he and his wife always dreamed of, and sets out for the quasi-legendary Paradise Falls in South America. His method of travel? The family home, lifted by an amazing canopy of balloons. However, he isn't alone ... he's inadvertently picked up an enthusiastic 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer, Russell (Jordan Nagai), who only wants to help.
As the movie progresses, Carl's house stops being a means for escape and adventure, and turns into a burden that the two explorers have to drag around with them. And the movie shifts from a sweet and slightly fantastic story about how an older man copes with loneliness and regret, into a comic action-adventure tale with a setting and characters that would be right at home in Warner Bros. cartoons, especially the “Road Runner” series. Only instead of Wile E. Coyote, Carl and Russell find the explorer who inspired Carl when he was Russell's age, Charles Muntz (Christopher Plummer).
Up moves smoothly from romance to drama to fantasy to comedy to action-adventure and then back to sentimental drama again, without jolting your emotions around too much. The sentimental parts are sweet but not cloying or overdone. On the other hand, the
Carl-Russell relationship seemed a little too familiar to me, something we've encountered for decades, from “Dennis the Menace” to Bad Santa, without offering much that is new. I also would have liked Muntz to be a little less two-dimensional, so to speak. However, as a friend pointed out, Carl and Muntz have a wonderful dynamic that may remind you of not only Spencer Tracy but Kirk Douglas, together at last.
Co-director Pete Docter also directed Monsters, Inc., another Pixar comedy with some sweet moments and even a few that have you complaining about the allergies and the way that screen glare can make your eyes water. Bob Peterson, who contributed to scripts for Finding Nemo and other Pixar movies, co-directed and wrote the screenplay and voices one of the dogs. Pixar fans will appreciate the little touches typical of the studio's films -- of course John Ratzenberger has a role, this time as a construction worker,and there are a number of quick visual jokes that are impossible to catch in a single viewing.
It goes without saying, as it has for even the weaker Pixar entries, that the movie looks gorgeous. I saw Up in 3-D, found the 3-D effects to be very subtle ... so subtle that at times I wondered if parts of the film had been rendered into 3-D at all. The 3-D
occasionally adds some depth of field that enhances the overall look of the movie, but for the most part you could do without it and not miss anything. I'm a little sorry that the one theater in town with 4K digital is only showing the movie in 3-D because I would love to see how a high-quality traditional screening fares in comparison.
Up is good enough to be included in arguments about which Pixar film is best, although I would still fight for Ratatouille, myself. Is Up a children's film with side jokes for adults, a family film, or a film that's made for grownups but has many elements that children also can enjoy? At times it seems to fit in any of these categories as well as others -- it would be a great date film -- but ultimately it boils down to being a very good movie that defies demographic categorization. In other words, if you're old enough to sit quietly through a feature film, go see it. (And bring tissues.)

Hey tried his best to give her a new different meeting every day so as to win her smile and regain their “First Date”. Hey made her tapes every morning to help her remember what happened the day before and the last whole year. Lucy thus felt grateful with all she had when she woke up everyday. On the same day, she always had the same deep gratitude to face Hey with her sweet smile. What a beautiful feeling it is to always feel thanksgiving and to always
appreciate each other’s effort. A touching story between a memory lost woman and a devoted man taught all of us, normal people, the essence of love. When two people can thank each other for their devotion everyday like what they did for each other on first date, love can forever be refreshed and energetic. On Lucy’s side, people with memory will ask for more than yesterday and become critical of their partners day by day, while people without memory will feel grateful for their life and the people around them everyday.
In the movie, when one day Lucy decided to break up with Hey to let him rebuild his life by burning all their diaries and tapes, I cried for Hey’s broken heart. For her, it was just one day feeling. No matter how hard and stressful the situation was, and how dangerous things he faced, he never went back just because of the greatest love of a simple father. In the movie, we are all moved not only his actions of kindness, but also his insistance and the greatest of all- a father's love.
魔术师THE ILLUSIONIST FACTS
When word of the famed Eisenheim's (Ed Norton) illusions reaches Crown Prince Leopold (Rufus Sewell), the ruler attends one of the magician's shows in order to debunk the performance. But when the prince's intended, Sophie von Teschen (Jessica Biel), assists the magician onstage, Eisenheim and Sophie recognize each other from their childhoods, and pretty soon they're totally hot for each other. As the clandestine romance continues, the prince's best cop (Paul Giamatti) is charged with exposing Eisenheim, even while the magician gains a devoted and vocal public following. Before long, Sophie turns up dead, and the logical suspect is Eisenheim himself.

mismatched tones: Kim Basinger as the kidnapee and Jason Statham as the kidnapper occupy the deadly-serious, straight-to-video thriller half, while Chris Evans as the rescuer and William H. Macy as a police officer seem to be in a “Saturday Night Live”-alum action comedy. Nowhere else is the disjointedness in tone more apparent than when Basinger and Evans's performances are placed side-by-side during their conversations: The scenes keep cutting between an overwrought Basinger wringing out every drop of melodrama, while a blissfully inept Evans seems to be channeling a cross between Chris Kattan/Jimmy Fallon and Ben Affleck/Keanu Reeves.
Meanwhile, Ellis pulls out tricks intended to generate thrills and surprises. He throws in out-of-nowhere “shocks,” a la “Final Destination”; he throws in
flashbacks; he throws in a gun-blazing Macy in Jerry Bruckheimer action-hero slo-mo; and yet, Ellis has no handle on staging any of them competently. Case in point: “Cellular” is the proud owner of one of the most ineptly scored chase sequences ever, as if Ellis simply heard a snippet of the song's lyrics (“...where you gonna run to?”) literally and paid no attention to the inappropriateness of the accompanying music (which just bop, bop, bops along). (The song is even reprised during the closing credits, which itself is misbegotten in conception.)
And yet, for all of its failures as art, “Cellular” is always entertaining for those very same faults
A review of the Pursuit of Happiness
“The Pursuit of Happyness” was released on the 15th of December . It is a dramatic story based on a biography of Chris Gardner’s nearly one-year struggle with homelessness. Directed by Gabrielle Muccino, the film stars Will Smith as Chris Gardner, and co-stars Jaden Smith playing Chris’ son, Christopher Jr. For Will Smith’s performance in the film, he was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Actor. The ‘different’ spelling of the title, ‘Happyness’ is seen by Chris Gardner on the building outside the play centre is son attends, which Chris reminds the owners of the building multiple times that it is spelt with an ‘I’.
The film shows us the struggles Chris Gardner has with homelessness. He is bankrupt because he invested his life savings in portable bone-density scanners, which he thought hospitals would be interested in buying, but in the end hardly any doctors wanted one, as they considered it an ‘expensive luxury’. During the struggles, his wife Linda leaves to go to New York and Chris and his son are left in San Francisco with no income and living in a motel. Meanwhile, Chris and his son are evicted because they can’t pay rent, and they are forced to go to a homeless shelter, and even one night had to sleep in the bathroom of the underground rail system. During his internship, he never once mentions his financial struggles and at one point he is asked to give one of his bosses 5 dollars for a cab, a sum that he can’t afford. After an intense six months, Chris is taken into the bosses’ office, and is offered a job as a stockbroker, the final scene shows him being in unbelief of the position he was offered and showing his happiness and gratefulness for the opportunity, Chris realises that his financial struggles are over as he now has a job with a regular income.
Christ was unfortunate, for he got a wife who was not understandable at all (though she has her own difficulties) and was in bad luck with his business. But he was very fortunate also, for he got a son who was very thoughtful and, I think, tough life experiences always make a great person. It is said that this movie is inspired by a true story, and I want to say, this movie does inspire me a lot. What impressed me most are: Christ’s wife left him because of life pressure; Christ’s love to his son and Christ’s strong belief towards life. Through these, I know that it is not easy to be a good husband and a good Papa, since in reality, only love cannot only make everything. And I also learn that one has to strongly believe in himself, no matter how difficult the situation is, but of course, hard-working is indispensable.

It talks about a show created by a director. He selected a baby and put him into a world he had created for him. In that world, everything was nice, people were friendly though they were all actors and actresses ,which means they were all fake. The boy was named' Trueman'.
Since Trueman was born, he was left in that artifical island. Then people in the real world watched this 'Trueman Show' everyday.
The director designed everything for trueman, his school, his friends, his fake parents, his fake wife...everything. He wanted to creat a person and world without worries but he was wrong. Trueman one day sensed the weird around him: everyday at the same time same place happened the same thing, people spoke the same thing with the same expression, no way!
He tried to run away but failed. Troubles seemed to be his twin brothers whenever he intended to escape from the island. Accidents, fires, traffic jams...Finally , he managed to escape from the cam and got a boat. Despite the seasick, he got on the boat and went on sailing. The director paniced while they found trueman was away. He set storms intending to stop Trueman but failed. Trueman was determined to have a true life. He kept sailing and sailing.
Trueman's boat stopped when it hit something. It was the end of the island. It was a wall colored like the sky. Trueman raised his head and he found out everything in the sky was painted. The sky, the clouds, the sea, everything was painted.
He found a 'Exit' button on the sky-blue wall, while trying to click it, he heard the director's voice from the sky.” Trueman, the outside world has no lelies than this one I created for you. You belong here, I created the perfect world for you. “ Trueman hesitated, yet clicked the button.
The show was over after more than 20 years and Trueman became a real true man when he dared to lose somehting, conquer somthing and face to something. That's how we all became a true person.
I can never forget the 'sky wall' and the director's God-like voice came from the unknown place. It reminds me so much of the world we are living in. Somehow we are all in a 'Trueman' world. Parents wanna control us, we work everyday following a certain routine. We dare not to lose the fortune we've gained and we lose more: hapiness, trust , friendship, health...

鹰击长空，划出一道美妙的弧线;鱼翔深海，一往无前，迅雷不及掩耳;叶问一招一式，令对手胆寒不已，望而生畏。在《叶问2》中，叶问成为最大的主角，虚怀若谷，以谦谦君子示人。他武艺高超，师承陈华顺，领悟咏春拳之精髓。但真正打动我的不是他的功夫，而是他的做人，他的为人，他的独特的人格魅力。他善良，朴实，有原则，担当，有智慧。
他善良，来到新的地方，作为一位武术师傅，竟然没有一个人来学拳，其他人可能觉得心里不平，如果有人言行冒犯，肯定如火山爆发，拿他出气。可是叶问则不同。当好长时间没有徒弟，隔壁的大婶要求借地方晒衣服时，他欣然接受。他的善良成就了邻里的和睦，也显示了他的大度。
他朴实，当该交学费的时候，有几位钱不够，叶问没有勉强他们，而是说下次交。而且在平时的'传授中，他丝毫没有高人一等的架子，平易近人是他的通行证，低调简单是他的圣经。徒弟们因为他的朴实而使交流更加顺畅，眼界更加开阔。是朴实拉近了师徒们的距离，朴实成就了一段师生情。

他有智慧，抓住对方的弱点，洪师傅整局都在和龙卷风拼拳，可对手的拳是更为出色，而且洪师傅身体不适，出于下风。那时，叶问劝洪师傅不要喝他拼拳，尝试切其中路，可是洪师傅没有理会这个智慧。最终被活活打死。当叶问与之对抗时，忘记了这个智慧，前几局也出于下风，唯有腿击还有点威胁，可是偏心的裁判不允许在比赛中腿击。当叶问吃了一拳，重重地倒在地上时，他集齐了这个智慧，在中路展开进攻，果然受到奇效，将拳王彻底击翻。
我还看到了强烈的爱国主义情绪：“为生活我，可以忍，但侮辱中国武术就不行”，洪师傅一席话廓清寰宇。而且在叶问挑战拳王时，之前相互提防的拳师们一致对外，化作长城，共同御敌。
