篇1:高中英文说课稿

Good afternoon, everyone, It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson withyou. The content of my lesson is Senior English for China Book1B Unit 16 Scientists at work. I’ll be ready to begin this lesson from five parts. Analysis of the teaching material, the teaching methods, the studying methods, the teaching procedure, and Blackboard design.First, let me talk about the teaching material.

Part 1 Teaching Material:

This unit is about science and scientists. By studying of this unit, we’ll Enable the students to know the serious attitude towards science and develop the interest in science. At the same time ,Let the students learn how to give instructions. this lesson plays an important part in the English teaching in this unit. This is an important lesson in Book One. From this lesson, it starts asking the Ss to grasp contents of each passage.

Therefore, this lesson is in the important position of the teaching material. If the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss learn the rest of this unit.As we all know ,reading belongs to the input during the process of the language learning. The input has great effect on output , such as speaking and writing . According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus (新课程标准和教学大纲), after studying the teaching material and analyzing the rule of children’s growing of mind,I think the teaching aims are the followings:

1.Knowledge objects:

a)The Ss can hear, read, and use the main sentence patterns

b)The Ss can understand the content of the lesson.

c)The Ss can use the patterns to express their thoughts in the proper situation.

2.Ability objects:

(1) To develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

(2) To train the Ss’ ability of working in pairs.

(3) To Improve the student’s reading ability, especially their skimming and scanning ability.

3.Emotion or moral objects:

a)By completing the task,the Ss increase their interest and set up self-confidence in science;

b)Teach the Ss what is “science”, put the moral education in the language study.

now, let’s come to the Important points and the Difficult points.

Well, how to achieve the teaching objects better, how to stress the important points and break through the difficult points? As is known to us all,The modern teaching demands the teacher should improve the students’ ability. A good teaching method requires that the teacher should have the leading effects. According to the analysis of the teaching material and the students’learning background ,I will use the following methods .

Part 2 Teaching Methods:

In my opinion, the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Communicative” Approach(交际教学法), “Whole language teaching” (整体语言教学法)and “Task-based” language teaching (任务教学法)。 That is to say, I’ll let the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. According to the modern social communication teaching theories(现代社会交际教学理论), I adopt the TSA method(情景教学) and TBLT method (语言任务教学)in my teaching, namely Total Situational Action and Task-based Language Teaching. The former is a “scene — activity” teaching method .It establishes a real scene and the interaction between the teacher and the Ss . The latter offers the Ss an opportunity to complete the tasks in which Ss use language to achieve a specific outcome. The activity reflects real life and learners focus on meaning, they are free to use any language they want.At the same time, I’ll make use of the modern electricity teaching equipments and all kinds of teaching means, it can develop the Ss creativity in learning English.

Part 3 Studying Methods:

Our students are almost from the countryside. They are lack of geography knowledge and the cultural background of those foreign countries. As senior students ,they have a certain ability to read . And the beautiful places are most attractive and easily arouse students learning emotion. As for the learning methods, they are poor in cooperative learning skills. Some students are not active in the class ,and some students don’t like English.therefore, I ’ll have Ss study in a relaxed atmosphere. Ss understand the new knowledge in certain degree through the mental process of seeing, hearing, saying, observing, thinking etc. And make preparation for completing the new study task. After feeling and understanding the language points, let Ss get the knowledge actively by probe study and cooperative study. In a word,we’ll

1.Teach the Ss how to be successful language learners.

2.Let the Ss pass “Observation—Imitation—Practice ”(观察—模仿—实践三步教学法) to study language.

3.Teach the Ss how to master dialogues and how to communicate with others.

Part 4 Teaching Procedure:

Step 1 Lead-in.

As we all know ,Benjamin Franklin is a famous politician and writer. But today, we will read a passage about him as a scientist. His serious attitude to science .Let’s see how Franklin made his famous electricity experiment by flying a kite.

1)Group competition

In the 18th and 19th century, scientists all over the world made many important discoveries and inventions in different fields of physics, chemistry, medicine, biology and so on. Divide the whole class into four groups to name some of them.

2) Group work

A match competition. Match Column B with Column A correctly.give more examples to make Ss get information.

Purpose of my design:To get to know something about the story of famous scientists.

To have a better understanding about the importance of experiments in science. It is really difficult for the scientists to achieve their goal , and only after tens of thousands of attempts, experiments, thinking and failure can they be successful in their research. Today, we are going to learn one example of them: Franklin’s famous kite experiment.

Good afternoon, every one. It is my great honor to stand here to present my lesson. To make my presentation clearer, I will explain my lesson plan in the following parts

Part One: Analysis of the teaching material

Reading teaching is a very important part in English teaching. New Curriculum standard requires that students should get some kinds of information, enlarge their knowledge, enjoy and get gum, cultivate and develop their reading skills through reading.

The lesson I am going to talk about is the reading part in Chapter6 from Oxford English 7A. It is a story about a crew’s adventure on another planet. The title is Nobody wins. Part One of the story appears in Chapter 5 and students will know the result of the story in this chapter. Students only know part of the story in Chapter5, so they will be very interested and eager to know the result of the story. They may be very exciting when they know the result.

Part Two: Teaching aims

According to my understanding of the material and students, I establish the following teaching aims:

1. Students can read and understand the story.

2. Students can develop their guessing, skimming and scanning skills.

3. Students can build up their self-confidence and learn how to cooperate with others well.

Teaching key point and difficult point:

The key point of this lesson is to develop students’ scanning and skimming skills. The difficult point of this lesson is some difficult words in the story.

Part Three: Teaching equipment

CAI, tape recorder

Part Four: Teaching methods and learning methods

1. Communicative teaching method

2. Task-based“ teaching method

3.Cooperative learning method

As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. To use these methods are helpful to develop the students’ abilities.

Part Five: Teaching procedures

(1) Pre-reading activity:

Students act out part one of the story.

Students have learned part one of this story in Chapter 5. After learning Chapter 5, students know what the story is about but they don’t know the result of the story. The ending of part one is that the main character of the story says all of them will be alive. (The main characters were caught by a monster and trapped in a cage)。 After students act out part one of the story, I will raise a question to lead in my lesson: What’s the main character’s plan to save the crew from danger? Ask students to number the paragraphs in the story. There are totally twelve paragraphs in this story.

(2) While-reading activities:

Activity one: Guessing: Students often meet with some new words in reading. When

they see the new words, they are either frightened by the new words or they spend too

much time in looking up the words in the dictionary. It will be helpful to improve

students’ reading ability if they know how to guess the meaning of the words

according to the context. When they are doing this part, ask them to finish it by

themselves first and then ask them to discuss in groups.

Ask students to find the following words in the story and use them to replace the words in italics in the sentences.

immediately, secretly, attacked, escape

1. The captain’s men climbed into the kangaroos’ pockets and no one saw them.

2. After super, Gork went to bed and fell asleep at once.

3. Gork shouted because Nobody hit him.

4. They could not kill Gork. Otherwise, they could not get away.

Activity two: skimming (When students do the skimming task, they don’t need to read the whole story word by word and they don’t need to understand the whole story. The skimming task only requires students to read parts of the story and get the main information of the story. This skill will help students to develop the ability to find out the key words and key sentences to understand the main idea of the story. It is helpful to increase students’ reading speed. )

Ask students to number the paragraphs in the story. There are totally twelve paragraphs in this story.

1. Ask students to read the first and the last three paragraphs and answer the following questions:

a. What will they use to melt the bars of the cage?

b. Were they free?

2. Ask students to read the story quickly and give correct orders to the following sentences:

a. Then you’ll use it to kill Gork, Captain.

b. Gork, this is nobody.

c. You just had a bad dream.

d. We will use this laser torch to melt the bars of the cage.

e. We can’t kill him.

f. Nobody attacked and damaged my eye.

Activity Three: scanning (scanning is a kind of skill used to find out the main information in reading. When scanning, students don’t need to read the story word by word, they just need to scan the relative part of the story according to the information they need to find out. )

Ask students to fill in the blanks according to the story.

Gork fell asleep. Captain King told his ________. They _____ from the cage. King shouted ”This is _________“ and use a ________ _______ to aim at Gork’s eye. The kangaroos did not help Gork because he said nobody ________ him. King and his friends _________ into the kangaroos’ pockets and escaped the cave.

(3)Post-reading activity:

Students work in groups to tell Captain King’s plan to save them from the danger with the help of the given questions.

How did King call himself?

What did they use to melt the bars?

What hit Gork’s eye?

When the kangaroos came, what did Gork say?

After this activity, I will tell them the moral education of this story: When you are in danger, you should calm down, use your brain and try to think of some ways to save yourself from danger.

(5)Homework: 1.Finish the exercise on page 74 and 75.

2. Write down the story in your own words.

The above is my presentation about my lesson plan. Thank you for listening.

Good afternoon, teachers. It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my teaching ideas I’ll begin the lesson from the following four parts:

Analyzing teaching material

The teaching methods

The studying methods

The teaching procedures

and while presenting these parts I will do the blackboard writing properly. Ok now I am going to start from the first part “Analyzing teaching material”

This unit is about It is made up of paragraphs.

The teaching aim of this lesson is to help students to understand and master the words, phrases and sentence patterns on the basis of understanding the text.

The ability aim is to improve the students’ organizing and using skills of English and to retell the whole text in their own words.

The emotional aim is to help students understand and to develop

students’ sense of cooperative learning.

Then the teaching key points is to help the students get a general idea of the whole

And the teaching difficult points is to make students use their own words to express

According to the analysis above, I’ll try my best to carry out the following theories

while dealing with this lesson:

To make students the real masters of the class while I just act as a director.

To combine the language structure with the language functions.

And to make students receive some moral education while they are learning language. In order to achieve my goal, I will use the following teaching methods:

The first teaching method I will use is communicative approach, since language is

used for communication. Communicative approach is learner-centered and emphasizes communication and real-life situations.

The second teaching method I would like to use is task-based approach. A task

resembles activities which our students or other people carry out in everyday life.

Learners should be given opportunities to reflect on what they have learned and how well they are doing.

The third teaching method I want to use is computer assisted language teaching.

Computer plays an important role to make the materials attractive. It can also help the learners to understand the language and then produce comprehensible output.

And in order to practice my teaching methods better, the following teaching aids will be used:

A projector, a tape recorder, multimedia and of course the blackboard.

And then, I would like to talk about the studying methods. As students are poor in

cooperative learning skill, many students are not active in English class, and even

some of them don’t like English. Therefore, I will have the students learn English in a much more relaxed atmosphere. The learning process of students is from seeing,

thinking, and speaking. So, to make the students get the knowledge actively,

cooperative learning and task-based learning will be used.

Next, I will talk about the teaching procedure. To train the students’ ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, I have designed the following steps.

Step 1 Lead-in

At the very beginning of the class, I will make the students have a free talk about and then discuss the questions in pre-reading on page . The purpose of this step is to arouse the students’ learning interest. After a discussion about the questions,

the students will be eager to know something about and it’s the very time to naturally lead the class into

Step 2 Listening comprehensions

In this step, I will write several questions before listening to the text:

And then I will make the students answer the questions after listening to the tape. The purpose of this step is to train and improve the students’ listening ability .

Step 3 skimming and scanning

In this step, I will give the students two tasks . The first task is to get the general idea, the task is to develop the students’ reading skill by making prediction and to encourage the students to express their own thoughts in English. The second task is to get the main idea of each paragraph. I will divide the whole class into several groups to skim the whole text and get the main idea of each paragraph. The purpose of this task is to improve the students’ fast reading skill and cooperate with each other. And then guide Ss to read the material carefully and take some important notes, then answer the following questions in P.

Step 4 Retelling the passage

Language is learned by communicating. It’s my job to creat an atmosphere for students to use the language. The students discuss in their group and then choose a reporter to share to the whole class.

Step 7 Consolidation

In this activity, I will ask some students to read each paragraph, and then do the exercise following the text.

Step 8 make a summary

I will go through the important points and difficult points of this lesson with the students once again. And of course, the language points on the blackboard will be mentioned as well.

And now let’s move to the last step

Step 9 Homework

1. Read the passage as frequently as you can

2. Find out some words and sentences you think are beautiful and recite them.

Purpose of my design: Homework is so important and necessary for to master the knowledge they learned after class. It will check whether the Ss achieve the teaching aims.

That’s all of my teaching ideas about this lesson. Thanking you for your listening.

篇6:高中英语说课稿英文

Good morning, professors, it’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lessons with you. The content of the lesson is Senior English for China Student’s Book 2 Unit 5 Music. I’ll begin the lesson from the following five parts, the teaching material, the teaching methods, the studying methods, the teaching procedure and blackboard design. First, let me talk about the teaching material.

Firstly, let me introduce the teaching material. This unit is to introduce to us different types of band. The reading passage is the center of this unit. It is made up of 4 paragraphs, that is, many people want to be famous as singers or musicians, form a band, Monkees began as a TV show and they became even more popular than the Beatles. The text is the most important teaching material in this lesson, which extends the main topic “music” and contains most of the vocabulary and grammar points that students should learn in this unit.

Secondly, I want to tell something about the students. Although the students have the basic abilities of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, they still need many opportunities to practice what they have learned, to express their ideas, feelings, and experience and to develop their autonomous learning ability and cooperative learning ability Thirdly, I’d like to talk about teaching aims and demands

1 Knowledge aims:

(1)to help students to understand and master the words, phrases and sentence patterns.

(2)to know some basic information about music

2 Ability aims:

(1) To improve the students’ organizing and using skills of English as the second language

(2) To understand the main idea, to scan for the needed information and to grasp the details

3 Emotional aims:

(1) Help students understand different type of music and how to form a band

(2) Develop students’ sense of cooperative learning

Fourthly, teaching key points is

1. To help the students get a general idea of the whole passage, and some detailed information and language points as well.

2. To understand how Monkees formed, developed and succeed. Teaching difficult points is

1. The students use their own words to express their own ideas.

2. the prep+ whom/which attribute clause

According to the analysis above, I’ll try to use the following theories to make students the real master of the class while the teacher myself the director.

a. Communicative Language Teaching

Language is used for communication. It’s learner-centered and emphasizes communication and real-life situations.

b. Task-based Language Teaching

A task resembles activities which our students or other people carry out in everyday life, Learners should be given opportunities to reflect on what they have learned and how well they are doing.

c. Computer Assisted Language Teaching

Language learning needs a context, which can help the learners to understand the language and then can product comprehensible output, so computer has the advantages to make the materials attractive.

Part 3 Learning Methods

Task-based, self-dependent and cooperative learning

Part 4 Teaching Procedure

Step One Lead-in

“Interest is the best teacher.” Therefore, at the very beginning of the class, I should spark the students’ mind to focus on the centre topic “the band”. I’ll play some different type of music to attract their attention and then bring some questions.

Question:

What kind of music they like?

Which band they know best?

The answers must relate to band. After this, the students will be eager to know something about band and this is the very time to naturally lead the class into Step 2

Step 2 Reading for information: skimming and scanning In this step, I use Task-based Language Teaching method, which can give students a clear and specific purpose while skimming and scanning the context.

Task 1 General idea

The students will be asked to just glance at the title and the pictures of the passage, and then guess what they will read in the text. And they’ll be divided into groups of four to have a discussion.

The purpose is to inspire the students to read actively, not passively. In addition, the task is to develop the students’ reading skill by making prediction and to encourage the students to express their thoughts in English and cooperate with each other.

Task 2 Main idea of each paragraph

Cooperative learning can raise the students’ interest and create an atmosphere of achievement. Based on this theory, I divide the whole class into 4 groups to skim the whole text and get the main idea of each paragraph.

Step 3 Reading for comprehension

The purpose of reading is to get the correct and useful information. Students should not only have a high speed of reading but also have a correct understanding of details. Therefore the following practices on Page 35 can help check the situation.

Step 4 Solving difficult language problems through reading

It’s important for language learners to learn important rules of

grammar and use these rules to solve problems in reality. In the previous process of reading, the students must come across some difficult language obstacles, so it’s necessary for us to discuss and explain. This period of time belongs to students. They can ask any questions they come across in the process of learning. I’ll explain the questions and difficulties. The purpose of this is improving the students “questioning spirit” and dealing with the difficulties.

Step 5 Consolidation

Language is learnt by communicating. It is my job to create an atmosphere for students to use the language. Here I design 2 activities 1 Reading for comprehension

I’ll ask 4 students to read each paragraph, and then do the exercise following the text. I think it’s a good way to review what they have learned.

2 Discussion

During making discussion, the students will deepen their understanding of the main idea of the passage.

a. Why Monkees can be successful? Give reasons.

b. What’s the most important thing for a successful band? Why? Step 6 Homework

Ask the students to write down sth about their favorite singers, band or music and list the reasons. The assignment enables the students to search various information resources, which can widen their view and continue to inspire their enthusiasm of learning.

Part 5 Blackboard design

Unit 4 Music

Passage The Band That Wasn’t

Topic Sentences:

1. Many people want to be famous as singers or musician

2. Form a band

3. Began as a TV

4. They became even more famous than the Beatles

Discussion:

a. Why Monkees can be successful? Give reasons.

b. What’s the most important thing for a successful band? Why?

In my opinion, the blackboard design can reflect the teacher’s ability of mastering the text and leading the students to master the text easily. In this text, the design is not easy to write. I write the topic sentences on the blackboard, in order to tell the students that this is of the importance in this class. I want to make the design inductive, instructive and artistic.

Good afternoon, every teacher. I’m very glad to have the opportunity to share my teaching ideas to you here. My topic is from Advance with English Book 9, the reading material of unit 2: XXX. To make my presentation much clearer, I’ll explain it in the following 5 aspects.

1 My understanding of the teaching material.

2 Teaching aims.

3 Teaching methods and learning ways.

4 Teaching procedures.

5 Blackboard design.

Now, I’ll explain them one by one to you.

Part 1. My understanding of the teaching material.

In this section, students are provided with (1) a brochure about Canada. It is designed to help them to gain some information about the geography, history and four cities of Canada. (2) a newspaper article about the Acropolis, a famous historic site in Athens, Greece. It is designed to help them to gain some information about the history of the Acropolis, the damage to it and the ways to preserve this historic site. (3) an internet article about national flags, colours and cultures. It is designed to help them to gain some information about the national flag of France, the USA and Indonesia. (4) an internet article about idioms from the Bible that are used in English. It is designed to help them to gain some information about these biblical idioms and understand their original meanings and practical usage in English. What’s more important, students are expected to improve their reading ability by participating in all the designed activities.

Part 2, Teaching aims

According to these , I set my teaching aims as follows:

1. Make students get familiar with the topic, and learn some important words and expressions.

2. Develop students’ reading ability, especially the skills of skimming and scanning.

3. Cultivate their interest in English study

Among them, I think the teaching focus and difficulties will fall on these points:

1. How to organize activities to develop students’ reading ability.

2. How to help students finish different tasks by using what they have learnt from the article.

Well, how to achieve the teaching aims better? The key is to use proper teaching methods.

Part 3. Teaching methods and learning ways.

In my class, I’ll adopt the Situational method, group-work method and Task- based method. I’ll try to provide students with lively situations and create a relaxing class atmosphere and then they can gain the knowledge by self work and group work. What’s more, I’ll take good advantage of the recorder and the multi-media to make the class lively and relaxing.

Part 4. Teaching procedures.

Now, I’d like to talk about my teaching procedures. I want to carry them out in the following steps:

Step 1. Lead-in. ( 6 minutes )

1-2, show students some pictures about Canada /Greece on the slides, let them guess which country the things in the pictures belong to. Ask students what they will think of when talking of Canada / Greece.

3-4, show students some pictures about different national flags / religious people on the slide and ask them to match the flags with their countries / the people with their religions. Ask students what they will think of when seeing our national flag / talking of Buddism?

By doing this, I hope to arouse students’ interest and prepare them for the following study.

Step 2. Listening

Listen to the tape of the article and answer the questions about T or F on the slides.

The purpose of this step is to practice Ss’ listening ability by gaining a general idea of the article.

Step 3. Study the reading strategy

Ask students read the reading strategy aloud and make sure they fully understand it. If necessary, I will explain it.

This step is designed to help Ss clear away some obstacles in reading.

Step 4. Reading

6 Ask students to scan the article to grasp the main idea and finish Part C1.

7 Ask students to read the article carefully and search for the related details to finish Part C2.

The purpose of this step is to develop Ss’ reading ability and the ability to use the information they have gained to finish different tasks.

Step 5. Consolidation

1. Ask Ss to read the instructions for Part F and continue the dialogue in pairs after the example. Choose some pairs to act out their dialogues.

2. Choose one topic of the 3 questions to make a discussion in group of 4 students; Encourage every student to express their opinions freely. I will walk around the classroom to offer necessary help. Choose some students to make the presentation.

This step is designed to deepen Ss’ understanding of the article, practice their oral English and develop their ability in working cooperatively.

Step 6. Homework

Finish Part A and Part B in workbook.

Part 5. Blackboard design.

In the upper side of the blackboard is the title of this lesson: XXX. On the right side is the reading strategy

篇9:高中英语英文说课稿

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, I’m very glad to have an opportunity to interpret my lesson. The lesson plan I’m going to talk about is from SEFC Book1 A, Unit 7 ― Cultural relics. I’ll explain my teaching plan from the following 4 aspects: the theoretic basis, my understanding of the teaching material, teaching method and study way, teaching procedure.

I. Theoretic basis

According to the New English Curriculum Standard, when teaching, teachers should lay emphasis on the four skills ― listening, speaking, reading and writing. What’s more, the four skills should be integrated well because when we communicate, we often use more than a single skill. The newly edited textbook is divided into units, each one is an independent whole which couldn’t be divided further, and the four skills are integrated well in each unit. Thus, when planning lessons, English teachers must regard the whole unit as a base.

II. Understanding of the teaching material

My understanding of the teaching material contains 3 aspects: moral objectives, ability objectives and knowledge objectives.

A. Moral objectives

As we know, Unit 7 is mainly about some famous cultural relics, it describes St. Petersburg in details, and from the text, we know that lots of cultural sites are being destroyed. So I’d like the students to set up a consciousness of protecting cultural relics through my teaching.

B. Ability objectives

The most important points contains the following 2:

(1) How to give advice and make suggestions

Students should master some expressions for advising and suggesting such as ”shall we do…“, ”you’d better…“, etc.

(2) Students should learn to use some useful phrases from text, for example: give up, give in, under attack, during one’s life, etc.

These expressions and phrases I mentioned above are very useful, once the students master them, they can use them immediately in their daily life.

C. Knowledge objectives

The present perfect passive voice is the main grammatical point in this unit, students are required to understand and learn to use this tense.

III. Teaching method and study way

According to the New English Curriculum Standard, students should be the real masters in language study. During my teaching process, I’ll play a role as a participant, adviser and prompter, try my best to create contexts, ask questions, enlighten and guide the students to learn independently. Exercise and discussion will be the main forms of teaching in my class.

I’ll use a computer, a taper recorder, some pictures as my teaching aids.

IV. Teaching procedure

The whole unit needs 4 periods. Each period contains 45 minutes. I’ll explain one by one.

Period 1

The task of this period is to warm up the students, make them interested in the topic. It includes 4 steps.

Step1. Daily greeting and lead-in (10 min)

I will ask students to introduce their hobbies, then I’ll ask the one who likes traveling to say something about scenic spots, and I tell the class the differences between natural scenes and cultural relics. In order to make them interested in the topic, I will show some pictures of pyramids, Great wall and the Stonehenge, at the same, I will do a brief introduction of their history and geographic features for them.

Step 2. Listening (15 min)

The listening material is about another 3 cultural sites. Students can listen for 3 times. When listening for the first time, I’d like them to find out the names of the 3 sites. And for the second and third time, they are required to answer questions in the textbook.

Because of the warming up in step 1, this listen part will not be very difficult for them. In addition, I will teach them some listening skills such as finding key words, using symbol, etc.

Step 3. Discussion (10 min)

After doing listening, I will create a context for the students ― suppose they everyone have a cultural capsule, before they are sent to the space, they need to select 5 things representing China, what will they choose and why? Such a discussion can make them think about Chinese cultural relics and give rise to a desire of learning how to give advice and make suggestions.

Step 4. Expression learning (15 min)

When the discussion finished, I will do a summary and transit to the study of expressions for advising and suggesting. I will use these expressions to make dialogues with the students and I will also let them make sentences with these expressions.

Period 2

The task of this period is reading. It includes 3 steps.

Step 1. Pre-reading (10 min)

Before learning the text ”A city of heroes“, I will review the discussion in period 1, and let the students think about a question: Which city do you think is great? What makes it great?

Step 2. Fast reading (10 min)

The students can read the text fast only once. After reading, they should do some ”true or false“ questions on page 46. They can get the main idea and information very easily by fast reading.

Step 3. Intensive reading (twice 25 min)

After the fast reading, another question will raise: who is the hero of the city? The students can read the text intensively twice.

(1) For the first time, the students should read paragraph by paragraph, and summarize the main idea of each paragraph, here I will teach them how to find topic sentence and the function of topic sentence.

(2) When reading for the second time, the useful phrases and words will be learned in the text. And the question: ”Who is the hero of the city?“ will be discussed.

Period 3

The task of this period is revision, learning the present perfect passive voice and word formation. It includes 4 steps.

Step 1. Revision (10 min)

Let the students do blank filling on page 47, all the words and phrases are from the text, which have been learned in Period 2.

Step 2. Word formation (10 min)

There are some words beginning with a prefix ”re“ in the text and exercise. So here I will tell the students something about the function of prefix, let them know ”re“ means ”again’, add “re” to a verb means “do again”. Then, I will list all the words with “re’ from the text, and ask them to give me more examples of such words.

Step 3. Grammar learning (17 min)

(1) I will show 2 sentences using present perfect passive voice from the text, let the students know the feature of this voice, them I change them into active voice, show them the differences by comparison and contrast.

(2) Next, I will give some sentences in active voice, let the students change them into passive voice. When doing this, I will point out the different use of ”have“ and ”has", let them know a verb should agree with the subject.

(3) In order to distinguish present perfect passive voice from past simple passive voice, I will let them do exercise 2 on page 47 ― Blank filling.

Step 4. Discussion (8 min)

For the exercise in step 3 is about protecting cultural relics ― Guilin and Beijing, after doing that, I’d like the students to do a discussion in group of 4 or 5 about the damage of cultural relics and ways of protecting.

Period 4

The task of this period is revision and writing a letter to express one’s feeling. It includes 3 steps.

Step 1. Revision (15 min)

(1) First let the students do the Checkpoint 7, them I will ask them to find out all the sentences using present perfect passive voice from the text.

(2) In order to revise the words and phrases, I will give the students a dictation. I speak in Chinese, they write down in English. When finished, I’d like them to make sentences with these phrases.

Step 2. Pre-writing (15 min)

(1) In this step, first I will create a context for the students to discuss: What will they do when they feel worried, sad or angry? I will show my opinion at the end of discussion that writing a letter to ask for advice is a good idea, letter is an important way to communicate with others.

(2) Next, I will help them to learn the model letter in the textbook, and show them the form of a letter (格式), so that they will not feel difficult when writing.

(3) Then, let them turn to page 48 part 2, first have a discussion, them fill in the blank, later, I will ask some of them to report their answers.

Step 3. Writing (15 min)

After the report, the students are asked to write a letter. I will give them some information for reference. When they finished, I will ask 2 of them to read their letters, and let the others evaluate the advantages and disadvantages, so that everyone can make a progress.

V. Self comment

Through my interpretation, you may find that my plan is different from others. Actually mine is a unit plan, not just a single lesson plan. As I mentioned, I regard the unit as a whole, I’d like the students to learn the four skills integrated, and I do so.

That’s all for my interpretation. Thank you for your attention.

英文说课稿

The teaching design I’m going to talk about is for unit 10, from Fun with English for primary school, Book 1A. It mainly deals with colors , I’ll describe it mainly in 5 parts.

1. Analysis of Ss

Most of the first-grade Ss haven’t learned English. But some of them have learned some basic knowledge about English in the kindergarten. They are eager to learn and are interested in English. All these are to the advantages of English learning.

Analysis of the textbook

The ultimate goal of Oxford English is to develop the comprehensive ability to use the language. That is to develop their four skills, listening, speaking, reading and writing.

2.Teaching Objectives

Firstly, knowledge objective. In this unit, Ss are required to master the five words ( red, green, yellow, brown, white) and sentence structure “ What color?”

Secondly, skill objective. Ss are going to learn how to apply the words and expressions they’ve learned in their daily life. The good news is that unit 10 is so closely connected with their daily life that it is not difficult to set a life-like language environment for them to practice what they’ve learned in class.

Thirdly, emotional objective. We should make Ss become aware of their own advantages and disadvantages in learning. And also teach them to be willing to cooperate with others. In this way to help them develop a healthy and positive character.

3.Teaching Points

The key points of this lesson are the five words ( red, green, yellow, brown, white) and sentence structure “ What color?”

The difficult points of this lesson are how to motivate students’ zeal for knowledge and create life-like language situation.

4.Teaching approaches.
