明朝理学家薛宣曾说过一句话：“读书不寻思，如迅风飞鸟之过前，响绝影灭，亦不知圣贤所言为何事，要作何用。”确实，不假思索的阅读是肤浅的，阅读是为了让人们更加理性，更理智地看待人世。
小时候读《小飞侠彼得。潘》，深深地被其中的情节所吸引，时常幻想要是现实生活中也有一个彼得。潘那该有多好。于是在每天睡前我都要缠着妈妈给我念上一段，听多了就许下一个愿望：我长大了要做一个伟大的探险家，去寻找一个像梦幻岛一样的梦幻王国。

读《夏洛特的网》让我看到了友谊那付出生命去扞卫的感动，使我更理智地对待每一个朋友，理智地维系着友谊的可贵;又读了《钢铁是怎样炼成的》，保尔为个人理想而不悔奋斗一生的追求让我更理智地看待梦想，明白它与现实并不冲突的存在。
阅读是一把探索生命的钥匙。诗人何其芳有一句话“读书就是翻译，因为从来不会有两个人的体验是相同的。一个拙劣的读者就好比一个拙劣的译者：他会在应该意译的时候直译，而需要他直译时他却意译。”因此，阅读的过程恰巧使我学会变得更为理智，看清什么是作者意在抒发和传扬，什么又是作者兴起的一时快笔。就似开矿，阅读就是为了理智地通事理，从而更好地生存在这个世界里。
